Euonymus atropurpureus (Wahoo)

A shrub or small tree that blooms in the spring with small purple flowers followed by scarlet red fruit that is enjoyed by birds. It has been cultivated as an ornamental since the 18th century for its attractive, oval-shaped red berries and reddish fall foliage color.
